What are the different types of Web Development ? [2021]
What is Web Development?
Web development is the coding or programming that allows a website to run according to its owner’s specifications. It focuses on the non-design aspects of website development, such as coding and markup writing.
Web development encompasses everything from simple text pages to large web-based apps, social network applications, and e-commerce systems.
Web developer, a profession born less than twenty years ago. Today ubiquitous in our lives, and at the dawn of the Internet of Things, the latter still has a bright future ahead of him.
Fifteen or twenty years ago, the technological context of Web development was different. The variety of connected device types was smaller, the functionality offered was less complex, and the skills needed to develop a website were lower. A job was born under the name we give it today: the web integrator, an expert in HTML developing websites populating the global web.
The CSS still had little choice for a complete presentation and supported by the majority of browsers. The technologies and the context have evolved a lot, completely transforming the work of the Web integrator who has gradually turned into a “front-end developer”.
The Following Are The Different Types Of Web Development:-
1.Front End Development: –
Front end web development teams have never been more important than they are now, as business strategists and project managers rush to build seamless user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI).
Front-end developers are responsible for a website’s look and feel. front-end devs must be masters at three main languages, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. They also need to be familiar with frameworks like Bootstrap, AngularJS, and EmberJS, which make the website look more interactive & alive. libraries like jQuery also help to package code into a lightweight and compatible form.
2.Back End Development: –
Server-side development is referred to as back-end development. Databases, programming, and website architecture are all covered. It describes the actions that take place behind the scenes when a user performs a specific activity on a website. It may be logging into an account or purchasing anything from an internet retailer. Back-end developers write code that allows browsers to connect with database information.
Following are the skills you require to become a back-end developer:
- Web Development Languages
- Database and Cache
- Server
- API (REST & SOAP)
Back-end Server-side development is referred to as development.
Development Languages, Database and Cache, Server, API (REST & SOAP), and other back-end developer abilities are all important.
The backend web developer should be aware of the website’s objectives and come up with practical solutions.
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are the languages that a front-end developer should be familiar with, but a back-end web developer should be knowledgeable with the database, server, API, and so on.
The front-end development service cannot be supplied separately, however the backend web development service can.
3.Full Stack Web Development: -‘
Full stack development refers to the creation of a web application’s front end (client side) and back end (server side).
Web developers that can create whole web applications and websites are known as full stack web developers. They work on online applications and websites’ frontends, backends, databases, and debugging.
The term “full stack developer” was popularized in a seminar around 8 years ago when Facebook announced that they’re looking to hire only “full stack web developers”.
Basically, a full stack developer should be knowledgeable enough to work on both the front end tech and the back end tech. So he must have an understanding of how the web works at each and every level.
A full stack developer is like the jack of all trades. One must have enough knowledge to run both the client and scripting side.
